Healing the ones who protect us

Angel In The Dark

No one who serves should suffer in silence.

A mental wellness project she created for law enforcement officers, to raise awareness about officers serving with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

LEO: the Law Enforcement Officer Community.

The Angel In The Dark emblem: a round badge in navy and gold. At its centre an officer stands with his back to us in a vest lettered POLICE, a halo of light above him and great gold wings spread from his shoulders, a city skyline and wet road behind him at dusk. A thin blue line shield sits at his feet. Around the badge the lettering reads Angel In The Dark, no one who serves should suffer in silence, healing the ones who protect us, peer support, trauma healing, hope, and strength through brotherhood

The mission

To provide a safe, confidential, and stigma-free space for law enforcement officers and first responders to heal from trauma through peer support, shared experience, and access to mental wellness resources.

  • No one who serves should suffer in silence
  • Healing the ones who protect us
  • Peer support. Trauma healing. Hope.
  • Strength through brotherhood

What it promises

How it is meant to feel

  • Peer led support
  • Confidential and safe
  • Built for first responders
  • Strength through brotherhood
  • We walk this together

Angel In The Dark is peer support and awareness. It is not therapy, counselling, medical care, an employee assistance programme or an emergency service, and nothing said to it is a report to anyone's department.
