The Verdict of Mercy
Part I. When Forgiveness Burned the Chains.
I had a dream. I was watching myself standing outside of these double doors. They were massive. They went so high up I couldn't tell how high they went. They stretched so wide from the left to the right, and I couldn't tell how far they stretched. As I stood there, I had a bit in my mouth where I couldn't speak. I had a yoke around my neck. It was iron. It was thick, and it was heavy. It stretched from just beneath my chin down to the center of my chest, and it prevented my head from moving up and down. At the base of my skull, I can feel a chain cutting deeply into my skin. There was a huge chain around my waist. There were chains attached to both my wrists and both my ankles. I could see that at the end of each chain, a massive individual dressed in a black cloak, hooded, held tightly to the end of these chains. All of a sudden, the massive double doors opened on their own. There was a huge aisle that ran from the doors to this massive altar. They escorted me down the aisle and positioned me to the left of the altar on my knees. All of a sudden, I heard this huge sound, loud sound, massive sound, and it caused my body to go up into the air. The individuals that held the chains wrapped the end of the chains around their waist and held on tightly, leaning backwards to hold me in position. Had they not have held me tightly with the chains, my body would have kept on rising. But all of a sudden, all of them in unison jerked the chains, and my body landed on the floor again. Second time, I heard the sound again, and my body went up into the air. I was bleeding. My tears were flowing. The individuals pulled the chains again, and my body came down and landed onto the floor a second time. Then all of a sudden, out of my right eye, I saw what looked like fog moving down that aisle that I had just traveled both. And I can see the fog holding and gripping on to fire. It was holding on to fire. It was fire, it was fog. And they were traveling down that aisle, and they went up onto the altar. It came near me. I couldn't speak, and it didn't speak, but I heard it say, Are you guilty of what your accusers have accused you of? And I nodded my head up and down, saying yes. And the fire and the fog began to shift away. And in my mind, I thought two words, Mercy, Master. In that moment, the fog and the fire shifted back towards me and laid its hand upon my face. And I can hear it say one word, Forgiven. Then the fire and the fog shifted away, and it just blew up into what looked like a third heaven. And then it began to fall apart like hot lava. And then it moved down off the altar, and it surrounded me, and it burned off all of my chains. It burned off the bit that was in my mouth. It burned away the chains that had me bound. It burned away the yoke that was around my neck. Then the dream ended.
Part II: The Valley of Hope
Part II. What mercy restored in one life, hope awakened in many.
After the fire consumed the chains, I left the altar following a massive being. I was walking along, admiring the freedom of the chains leaving my body. The massive being led me through a ravine. It was dry. There was no life there. And you can feel the presence of death. We went on top of this hill, and the massive pointed down into the ravine. When I turned and looked where he was pointing, I saw dry bones everywhere. And I just started running down off of the hill into the ravine where the bones laid. I began to run amongst the bones, telling them what this massive being had done for me, how it had freed me. And all of a sudden, all of the bones rose up and formed a massive army. And on each individual's face was my reflection. I turned and I looked to the hill, and the massive being was gone. And all of those bones that stood there, that massive army, were all covered with flesh. They were whole, they were complete, and they were lacking nothing. But they stood there waiting for my next command. And the dream ended.

“Mercy did not simply set me free. It sent me to speak life to the places where death had settled.” And what was once dry bones became an army of hope.
Reflection, Part I
This dream carries profound meaning. It reveals the weight of accusation, the reality of guilt, and the power of mercy. It shows the difference between condemnation that binds and mercy that frees.
The fire did not destroy me. It destroyed what held me.
The same power that could judge chose instead to forgive. That is the beauty of mercy.
A word for your heart, Part I
You may feel accused. You may feel bound. You may feel unworthy.
But mercy can meet you in the very place of judgment. Mercy can speak one word that changes everything.
You are not defined by the chains that held you. You are defined by the One who says, “Forgiven.”
Reflection, Part II
I was once bound. I was once silent. I was once condemned.
But mercy came. Mercy burned the chains. Mercy spoke one word: Forgiven.
Mercy released me. Mercy sent me.
My story became someone else's breath. My freedom became their foundation. Mercy multiplied hope.
A word for your heart, Part II
Your past does not define your purpose.
Mercy can meet you in your darkest moment. It can break what is binding you and give you a reason to live.
Your story is not just for you. It is for the ones still lying in the valley.
You are not here by accident. You are here for multiplication. Tell them what He has done for you. Then watch hope rise. Then lead them forward. Then be who you were created to be.
