As I behold the stillness
and embrace the knowing of God
in this silent moment,
my soul whispers a word of gratitude
to the Lord who abides over it all
as the protector of the realm.
Pause breathe
I know that there is something greater than myself
out there beyond the trees.
An ecosystem that I am a very small part of
that is shifting from one phase to another.
Spoken lifting gently
An oasis of divine beauty
that gently captures my breath,
and holds it for an eternity.
There is no sound to disturb the lifting
that takes place in my soul.

A world above a world,
inside a world,
around a world.
That would only make sense
if you were to see what I saw
in that brief moment
as I sat with God.
